About me

Posted at — Jun 22, 2020

Hey, I’m Acyr (ah-see-er).

I work as a machine learning engineer where I tackle the problem of sound event detection for edge devices.

Outside work, I’m a member of FOR.ai where we collaborate on research projects. My research interests are pretty broad but my current focus is on making neural networks more efficient and Bayesian deep learning.

Previously, I worked as a quantitative analyst at an investment bank. Before that, I worked as a software engineer with a mix of R&D and reverse engineering. As a PhD student under the supervision of GK Sankaran and JH Davenport, I worked on computational real algebraic geometry where I studied geometric properties of cylindrical algebraic decompositions.
