About me

Posted at — Jun 22, 2020

Hey, I’m Acyr (ah-see-er).

I work as a machine learning engineer where I tackle the problem of sound event detection for edge devices.

Outside work, I’m a member of where we collaborate on research projects. My research interests are pretty broad but my current focus is on making neural networks more efficient and meta-learning.

Previously, I worked as a quantitative analyst at an investment bank. Before that, I worked as a software engineer with a mix of R&D and reverse engineering. As a PhD student under the supervision of GK Sankaran and JH Davenport, I worked on computational real algebraic geometry where I studied geometric properties of cylindrical algebraic decompositions.
